What kind of photographer are you?

My work has been described as genuine, authentic, and true to life. My families are often so surprised with how I captured them, “looking like our real selves.” I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff or unnatural. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing that brief moment in time. I combine both traditional and lifestyle photography along with family portraiture. My passion is to create honest, meaningful images of your family to be treasured for years to come.

Where will my session be held?

I am a natural light, on location photographer. Together, we can agree on the perfect spot for your family shoot, however I do have a few locations that I like to recommend. I serve the Lake Country, Milwaukee, and North Shore areas of Wisconsin. I absolutely welcome photo sessions from outside of this radius, however locations further than 20 miles from zip code 53072 will be charged a travel fee. I also offer a studio option, located in downtown Waukesha.

What time will my session be scheduled?

I schedule sessions during weekdays. Weekends are available on a very limited basis, such as during a mini session event. Outdoor sessions generally take place at golden hour, 1 hours before sunset for the most beautiful light. In-home or studio sessions generally take place in the morning or afternoon when we have the best indoor natural light.

When do newborn sessions occur?

I like to schedule newborn sessions within the first month of life.

How long will my session be?

Sessions are quick! I like to work fast to keep small kiddos happy and engaged, and I know my families are busy! A family session takes approximately 45-60 mins, a mini session will be closer to the 10-15 minute time frame. If you booked a maternity session, you can expect around 45 mins (longer if there are multiple family members involved). My lifestyle newborn sessions take approximately 60-90 mins as there tend to be needed feedings, diaper changes, and all those sweet baby things.

what will my session be like?

My sessions are fun, laid back, and very relaxed. I love to play games, chase, run, and sometimes get a little dirty. I do pose my families, but in a very natural way while giving you gentle prompts to help get those natural reactions and emotions to come out. I am a hands on person, and I “get in there,” guiding your family into the most attractive positions. If your kids are having a tough time, its okay, they are kids! I am adaptable, and we will find ways to get beautiful photos that you will love!

Will i get my digital photos after the shoot?

As a mother of three, I understand that photographs grow in value over time! They become your treasures, and archiving and saving digital images is so important. I offer a simple, all inclusive collection where you receive the high resolution digital files delivered via a private online viewing gallery. From the gallery, you can download your images, back them up to your devices, and print wherever you like! Since this is an online gallery, you also have the option to share your gallery with your family, friends, or social media accounts. I will also include a print release, as some printers require this form with your print order.

Where, how and when will i receive my gallery?

Within 2-3 weeks of your shoot, you will receive a link to your private online viewing gallery. You will have one month to download your images from the gallery, after which, the gallery will be archived and no longer accessible. If you did not download your images in time, your gallery can be reactivated for a fee.

How far out are you booked?

I am typically booked one to three months in advance, with fall being the busiest time of year. If you are interested in newborn portraits, please inquire when you are pregnant. Already delivered? Thats okay! There may still be some flexibility in my schedule for a last minute session.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! I schedule mini session events a couple months in advance, typically for each season. There are a limited number of sessions available on specific dates. These sessions almost always sell out. How much does all of this cost?

My pricing is all inclusive. You will pay one price for the promised amount of digital images. See MY INVESTMENT PAGE HERE! In some instances, mini session galleries may be upgraded if I am able to capture more photos that what was promised! This will be communicated to you at the time the gallery is sent.
