The Hilmer House Photoshoot

The Hilmer family’s new home was the perfect opportunity to get some new family photos. I know this is a huge milestone for their family, which makes this photoshoot even more special. Don’t get me wrong, I love my traditional family photo backdrops, but this creative & unique session was just gorgeous.

I say it all the time, but capturing your family’s current season of life is never a bad idea. I don’t think I’ve ever met a parent who said “Wow we have way too many family photos.” If anything, I constantly hear from the parents who regret not taking more photos.

It’s tough, because all know that once you have children, time seems to just fly by. In the chaos and busy-ness, it can be so easy to miss out on capturing these moments. It can also be so easy to keep pushing off the family photos another year in hopes that you’ll get around to it when life is a little less busy. 

But let’s be honest, life with kids is always busy. If we keep pushing it off, we’ll continue to come up with excuses, AND we’ll continue to miss out on the special years that our families are living in.
