Why is Photography Considered an "Investment?"

Recently, I was scrolling through my phone and saw the news about the new iPhones and allll the improvements coming this fall, along with improved camera features. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my iPhone and I LOVE the fact that I can snap quick shots of my kiddos whenever I want. That being said…

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I still believe that even the most advanced devices don’t compare to having professional photos taken. Yes, iPhones are great. And yes, they’ve come a long way.

But there’s a reason why I refer to my sessions as “investments.” When you choose to invest in a photographer, you’re signing up for way more than someone just snapping some pics and sending them over to you. You’re investing in:

👉🏼Someone who knows how to pose a family and handle crazy kiddos

👉🏼Someone who’s spent years perfecting the art of (safely) photographing your newborn

👉🏼Someone who’s spent tonnnnns of time learning the best editing strategies

👉🏼Someone who knows how to capture the real & authentic moments

👉🏼Someone who deeply cares about preserving memories that will last for years to come❤️
