Four Tips for Your Upcoming Maternity Session

  1. Schedule your photoshoot between 30-35 weeks along. Why? Because at this point, you will certainly have a nice round bump, and will hopefully still have that second trimester energy for the most part. Also, it’s early enough that we shouldn’t have to worry about you missing the session if baby makes an early appearance.

  2. Include the whole family! Yes, this is your time to shine, and we want your maternity session to be yours. But make room for daddy as well. Include your family pet. If you have other children, of course, bring them along, too! We want to make sure your session allows you to shine, but it's also a great idea to include the whole family.

  3. This is your moment! Mama, go buy that dress that makes you feel special and beautiful. Get your hair curled, get the special eyelashes. Do whatever makes you feel confident and beautiful. Because, when you look back on these photos, that is what you want to remember, right?

  4. Don’t skimp on the newborn photos! Yes, absolutely you should make sure to photograph your growing bump! But do not sleep on scheduling a newborn photographer to capture your newest family member once you’ve delivered! I always recommend scheduling both maternity and newborn sessions together - 1) because this is such a monumental time of change in your life and needs to be remembered and 2) you will receive a discount from me when booking both sessions!
